The Philippine Cancer Society launched its Mobile Cancer Screening Bus that offers Acetic Acid Wash (AAW) for the detection of pre-cancerous lesions of the cervix with cryotherapy treatment and Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) for Filipino women in communities. The AAW and CBE are the primary early screening procedures for cervical and breast cancers, respectively, recommended by the WHO for low-resourced settings like the Philippines. This was made possible through the generous efforts of the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines (BDWP) fundraising project.
