Quezon City, Philippines – On September 22, 2025, the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La The Fort was transformed into a dazzling spectacle for the 22nd Annual Best Dressed Women of the Philippines (BDWP) Gala. From 7 PM to 11 PM, the event brought together the country's most prominent personalities for a night dedicated to high fashion and a noble cause: supporting the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS).
This annual gala is the longest-running and largest charity fashion show in the Philippines, founded by Angola Consul Helen Ong. It serves as the primary fundraising platform for the Philippine Cancer Society, with all proceeds dedicated to its life-saving programs and services for cancer patients, particularly those from indigent communities.
This year's gala was a testament to the event's enduring impact. This significant contribution underscored the power of unity and kindness in the ongoing fight against cancer.
Honoring Excellence in Service
The evening's program featured a series of meaningful presentations, including the unveiling of the new Helen Ong Multi-Purpose Hall and a new mobile clinic, both of which will spearhead the PCS's "Early Detection Saves Lives" campaign.
A highlight of the awards ceremony was the presentation of the Dr. Roberto Paterno Award, named in honor of the late chairman of the Philippine Cancer Society. This prestigious award was presented by a powerful duo representing the PCS: Ms. Emily Abrera, the new Chairman of the Philippine Cancer Society, and Dr. Gloria Cristal-Luna, a distinguished medical oncologist.
