About 105,000 new cases of cancer afflict Filipinos each year and about 72,000 never survived the ordeal. With the Philippine Cancer Society's advocacies on cancer prevention and early detection, the Manila Cancer Registry and patient services, the PCS hopes to see these numbers dwindle down. More importantly, the Society provides Filipinos general knowledge on cancer and assists the anti-cancer community in capacity building and resource capability.

Through this website, the Society hopes to link up with the cyberworld to bring the message across that we can still “win the cancer challenge.” These series of articles is intended to encourage and promote the cancer awareness campaign.
