2010 Relay for Life

RFL provides an opportunity for interactive education on cancer prevention and early detection and treatment. It gives people who have been diagnosed the chance to meet survivors of the same type of cancer and provide some sense of closure for those who are grieving the loss of loved ones - all these in a joyous celebratory atmosphere.

The 2009 edition of the PCS RELAY FOR LIFE is slated on December 4 to 5, 2009 at the Amoranto Sports Complex, Roces Avenue in Quezon City.It is an overnight cancer awareness event which starts at 3:00 p.m. and ends at 6:00 the following morning.

Highlights include the SURVIVORS LAP which starts the relay walk of team participants around the oval track, the LUMINARIA where hundreds of lights glimmer in the night representing those who had died of cancer, fund-raising activities to promote cancer prevention and early detection and all-night entertainment provided by famous and budding celebrities.

Honorary chairman of this year's RELAY FOR LIFE is Honorable Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista while overall chair is QC Ladies Circle president Joy Belmonte.

Everyone is invited to join the PCS RELAY FOR LIFE for the Celebration of Life and bring Christmas cheers to those who are afflicted with this deadly disease.
