ROBERTO M. PATERNO, PhD Chairman Dr. Paterno was a fellow at the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences and faculty member at the Ateneo de Manila University. He finished his postgraduate studies in history with a Master of Arts degree from Georgetown University and a PhD from Harvard University. He was Senior Vice President with the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) and served on the Board of its affiliate companies. He has also rendered active participation in various civic affairs endeavors and volunteer organizations such as Philippine Cancer Society (PCS), where he is Chairman of the Board since 1992.
ANTONIO MA. GUERRERO Vice-Chairman Mr. Guerrero was an executive officer with Eveready Philippines, Inc. (now Energizer Philippines, Inc.) for 37 years, serving as President for more than a decade before retiring from active management in 2000. He continues to function as Chairman of the Board and consultant to Energizer Philippines, Inc.
CORAZON A. NGELANGEL, MD, MS, PhD President Dr. Ngelangel is a Professor of the UP-College of Medicine and also heads the Medical Oncology Sections of PGH and JRRMMC. She is a medical oncologist with an MS in clinical epidemiology (Rockefeller Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania) and PhD in Organization development (SAIDI). She is a prolific writer and researcher, and was most outstanding oncology researcher and teacher by the Philippine Society of Oncology and as most outstanding researcher by Philippine College of Physicians. She was most outstanding medical oncologist by the Philippine Society of Medical Oncologists. She has also been a consistent international publication awardee of UP. She is a past president of the Philippine Society of Medical Oncologist, and a catalyst in the initiation of the cancer support groups Kapisanan ng May K and ARUGA. She was a member of the Advisory Council for the DOH-Philippine Cancer Control Program, and has been a PCSI volunteer since 1988. She has been the Medical Director of Roche (Philippines) Inc. since 1990-2013.
Atty. ENRIQUE D. PEREZ Vice-President Atty. Perez is a former Undersecretary in the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines. He graduated from San Beda College of Law, Magna cum Laude, and was a De Witt Fellow and Fullbright Grantee at the University of Michigan, USA. An 8th placer in the Bar Exams, he engaged in law practice and taught law subjects at San Beda College until he joined the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company in 1965 as Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary, progressing up the corporate ladder over 34 years to finally retire as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He is an awardee of distinctions in the field of management from the Legal Management Association of the Philippines and the Life Achievement Awared from his Alma Mater, San Beda College, and the San Beda Law Alumni Association.
JOSE S. SANDEJAS, PhD Treasurer Dr. Sandejas is the Presidential Consultant on Family Affairs of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. He also sits at the top post of various business enterprises, including Pilipinas Hino, Inc. (Chairman), Professional Managers, Inc. (Chairman & President), Biomedix Laboratories (Chairman), Diversified Holdings, Inc. (Chairman), Meralco Foundation, Inc. (Chairman), and Parents for Education Foundation (President). He received a Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) award in 1980.
VIRGILIO L. PEÑA Assistant Treasurer Presently the Chairman of Altius Phils, Inc. and President of Everest Academy – a Catholic international school in the Bonifacio Global City owned by the Legionaries of Christ. Former Senior Private Sector Adviser for the E-Governance for Efficiency and Effectiveness – a CIDA funded project of Bearing Point from 2007 -2008. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Former President and General Manager of IBM Philippines Former Chairman of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) of the Republic of the Philippines, a Cabinet ranked position reporting directly to the President. Former Undersecretary for Information and Communications Technology of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC).

ANGELA U. CRISOSTOMO, MD Trustee Dr. Crisostomo is the President of Diagnostic Imaging Society of the Philippines, Chairman of Department of Radiology, San Beda College of Medicine. She’s also the Head of Breast Diagnostic Clinic, Medical Center Manila, Senior Consultant of Breast Clinic, Makati Medical Center and Consultant of Breast Care Clinic, St. Luke’s Medical Center at Global City, Taguig.
FRANCISCO C. EIZMENDI, Jr Trustee Mr. Eizmendi is a Director of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, Great Pacific Life Assurance Corporation, Bankard and Makati Finance. He is the Chairman of Dearborn Motors Company, a past President of San Miguel Corporation, and a Fellow, Trustee and former President of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Thomasian Alumni Award from the University of Santo Tomas.
KELLY S. SALVADOR, MD. Trustee For more than ten years, he is an elite member of the Philippine Cancer Society’s (PCS) Speakers Bureau and a doctor-volunteer in the Society’s patient services unit., before he was elevated to executive director in 2008 and as member of the Board of Trustees in 2015. Dr. Kelly S. Salvador, a medical oncologist by profession, is only the third physician to hold the post as previous executive directors were professional managers. Former PCS executive directors include Dr. Generoso Basa, Col. Roman Salacop (military doctor), R.R. dela Cruz, Jesus-Perez Cardenas, Quintin Tan and Luzmindo Fajardo. He is currently associated with the SM group of Companies, particularly the Springfield Breast Care Center, among others. Dr. Salvador also serves as director of Hospice Philippines, a PCS affiliate; board member of Kythe, Inc., a cancer support group; past president of the Xavier Alumni Association, and a member of the International Who’s Who of Professionals. He is also a member of the Philippine College of Physicians, Philippine Medical Association, Manila Medical Association, Philippine Society of Occupational Health, Filipino-Chinese Medical Society and a fellow of the Asia Brewery Medical Society Specialty Scholarship. He obtained his pre-medical education at Far Eastern University with a degree in B.S. Biology in 1982 and medical course at the school’s College of Medicine and Surgery in 1986. Dr. Salvador interned at Metropolitan Hospital in 1987 and then held his residency at the Department of Internal Medicine in the same hospital. He took subspecialty training in Medical Oncology at the Clinica Universitaria de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain in 1993.

CONRADO LL. LORENZO, Jr, MD Trustee Dr. Lorenzo is a former Chancellor of the University of the Philippines in Manila and a past President and Executive Director of the Phil. Center for Population and Development. He was a Professor at the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the UP College of Medicine. He is currently a consultant of the Makati Medical Center.
ALBERTO B. ROXAS, MD Trustee Dr. Roxas was the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of the Philippines in Manila. He was past president of the Philippine College of Surgeons and the Philippine Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and past Chairman of the Philippine Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He was also past Chief of Colorectal Surgery Service of Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center and the Philippine General Hospital. He was a former Executive Officer of the Advisory Council of the Philippine Cancer Control Program of the Department of Health. He specializes in colorectal surgery.
JAIME GALVEZ-TAN, MD Trustee Dr. Tan is a Professor at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and the President of Health Futures Foundation, Inc. He was formerly Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of the Philippines Manila and the Executive Director of the National Institute of Health Philippines for 2002-2005. He served as Regional Adviser in Health and Nutrition for East Asia and the Pacific Region at UNICEF in Bangkok in 1996. He was a member of the Philippine Cabinet as Health Secretary in 1995 and as Undersecretary and Chief of Staff from 1992-94.
GLORIA R. CRISTAL-LUNA, MD Trustee Dr. Cristal-Luna is presently the Chief of Section of Medical Oncology of National Kidney and Transplant Institute and President of Molecular Oncology Society of the Philippines. She is a Certified Member of European Society of Medical Oncology; Council Member, Asian Clinical Oncology Society; Active Member, American Society of Clinical Oncology; Past President, Philippine Society of Medical Oncology and Philippine Society of Oncologists and Editor, Philippine Handbook of Clinical Oncology.
RACHAEL MARIE B. ROSARIO, MD, DPHA Executive Director / Corporate Secretary Dr. Rosario is Head Coordinator of the Supportive, Palliative and Hospice Unit, Department of Family and Community Medicine at UP-PGH Manila where she also holds the position of Associate Clinical Professor at the UP College of Medicine. A 30-year cancer survivor, Dr. Rosario is a pain consultant at the San Juan De Dios Hospital since 2006. She is also volunteering her services as Project Director of two cancer support groups – Child Haus of QC General Hospital and Munting Paraiso of UP-PGH Cancer Institute. A product of Silliman University’s BSMT, she took up her post graduate studies at the University of Visayas College of Medicine and 3-year residency program in Anesthesiology at UP-PGH.
